Dubai Chamber recently held yet another event for Startups. The Smartpreneur Competition was a great success as it witnessed the presence of entrepreneurs from across the region. At this event, entrepreneurs were invited to pitch their ideas to the a panel of judges, who judged the ideas on the basis of differentiation, systematization, and business model.
A few of the Smartpreneurs competing were Namla Softwares whose idea was based on smart cities and smart living. Another competitor was Efhamni and we had the chance to speak with Craig who shared with us his idea of how their Social enterprise was all about teaching sign language. Also, Mr. Jukka, founder and CEO of Devistat pitched his ideas on Safety Management and Risk Management using new and advanced technology. When it comes to energy efficiency and cutting-edge solutions, Ahmed Ejaz of Taka Solutions shared with us how Dubai, consuming 4X energy compared to other countries, is the perfect place to leverage technology and bring about the perfect solutions for the city and its people. Immmer App is a creation of another competitor Fabian Dagostin, which gives people the best option of how to spend their time on weekdays and weekends. These are just a few amidst many competitors at the Smartpreneur Competitors.
From business ideas to fun ones, the panel of judges were left with a tough decision to shortlist the final 10. The top three winners were announced at the ArabNet Digital Conference 2016.
